Results of qPCR analysis of the CrMAPK genes under − Fe, −N, or 150 mM NaCl conditions. C. reinhardtii CC425 was pre-cultured in TAP to the mid-logarithmic phase, followed by centrifugation and resuspension in TAP, TAP-Fe, TAP-N, and TAP with 150 mM NaCl. All the samples continued culturing for 12, 36, and 48 h. The cells were collected, and RNA samples were isolated. The gene transcript levels were determined using Real Time quantitative PCR. All expression values were normalized to the value of the 18S rRNA gene. The relative amounts were calibrated based on the number of transcripts of the corresponding genes in cells maintained in TAP for 12 h
